Bill put up most of the books yesterday and I am very very thankful. Dad and I put up trim. It's a lot of work and I really couldn't have done it without him. We couldn't have done any of this without him and I'm very grateful. I wanted to help Bill with the books but he said if I even tried to pick up one of the heavy boxes of books he'd be very angry. It sucks not being able to help and i try to joke about it to make someone laugh but it just irritates people and so I'm trying not to do that. Sigh. Hopefully the physical therapy will work and strengthen my feet and maybe just maybe I'll be able to walk again.

On that note I have PT today at one. Last time I was there they were really just figuring out what I could do so we didn't do much. I'm hoping that I don't drive 30 min again just to do one exercise. I don't remember what I posted last time so I might repeat a bit but the guy said that the range of movement is good. Better so on the right foot then the left foot. right foot did the 10 lifts ok the left foot barely made it through 10 lifts it really wanted me to stop at 7. I really want this to work.

The house is coming together. After we get the Spackle and caulking done in the bedroom I'm going to buy a dresser with gift cards we have left from our wedding. That way we can put the clothes away instead of keeping them in laundry baskets in the laundry room. I bought doors for the closets in the main room today. As soon as we get the trim on the doors done we should put doors up. Yep right now no doors.

    Physical Therapy
I started physical therapy (for my feet) today. They're hoping to strengthen the muscles that help me walk. The thought is that the pain might be from my feet not being strong enough because I tend to be ok for oh 2 hrs then poof feet in to much pain to walk. Hopefully by making the soft tissue stronger I'll be rid this problem. The PT guy said my feet are definitely weak but the range of motion is good.

Playing this DS game called shawn the sheep. If you have kids in your life you probably know that shawn the sheep is a tv show that runs several times a day but is only 10 minutes long. It's fun and it's made by the same people who made Wallace and Grommet. The game is fun but I found it difficult. I had to look some things up to figure out what to do next. Luckily someone made a manual. Yay fun.

    Here I sit
So I'm still on short term disability. I went and got a my paycheck yesterday and one of my co-workers said he missed me. It was nice to hear. My Dr had me purchase these ankle wraps they were supposed to be like my over the counter ones but they didn't work out. My feet hurt without even standing when I used them. The inserts he had me fitted for didn't work out either. So far the shoes he had me get and the original inserts he had me fitted for are still doing their jobs.

The house - Well we're in the house but it's not finished. Is it ever finished? Today I'm going to try to work on cleaning the cabinets and putting up shelves and doors. I'm probably going to be doing to much on my feet but what days don't I.

Phone - My phone completely died yesterday. Actually completely reset itself. Lost my contacts list. Lost all my pictures. Gone. They couldn't recover anything. It was as if it had never been used. Now I got a new phone. I love it. Laveric from duct tape land is having problems getting used to it. We'll see if he keeps his. He has 30 days.

9 - I am so going to see 9. It looks like lots of fun. BTW for those that don't know it's a movie. Tim Burton movies are Laverics favorite.

    Well TTFN

Fingers crossed we're moving our stuff on the 29th. It's a saturday.

We've been painting we're almost done. We've still got floors to do but I'm pretty sure we're hiring them done. We need to buy appliances. We need to look into cabinets at ikea. I ordered the tile. SO much to do.

    Weekly Dr Visit
I had another dr visit today. The last set of meds made me feel sick so he took me off those and now we're doing another rub on drug. Seems ok. I'm not real keen on the idea of drugs that absorb through the skin. But all the other drugs seem to really upset my tummy. The dr suggested that I try out MBT shoes. They look interesting. Maybe I can lose weight while i'm at it. All this sitting around hasn't been good for my waist line.

Went to the Sherilyn Kenyon signing tonight. Diana love was there too. It was a lot of fun. She signed all our books the first time through and made sure I had a chair to sit in. She's great. I wore one of the corsets I bought at dragoncon.

My dad came to help with the house today. He brought my brother in law and sister and baby joshua with him. Babies make me go gaga. I held him a lot and apparently he's teething cause all he wanted to do was chew on my thumb. My sister was however a little shocked to see me all dressed up in my corset. I txt'd my dad I was dressed up for a costume party but apparently it didnt really get translated.

    Update
House - We bought a house. It was foreclosed and in need of a lot of work. We're working on it. Lots of wiring, dry wall, and pipe has gone in.

Health - I'm on short term disability. My feet got better for a bit and now are getting worse once again. I'm worried for them.

Veg garden - We planted a huge veg garden in our backyard. We've had a lot of zucchini come out of it already and some green beans. Lots of tomato's are growing on the vines and I can't wait to pick more stuff. Hopefully we'll have time to eat it. We've eaten at our apartment oh 3 times since we purchased our house. So many restaurants ick.

Job - Currently on short term disability like I said earlier. I'm not sure what's going to happen.

Book - I'm almost done writing my book. If you want to edit it let me know.

Reading - I thought I'd get more reading done when I was on leave but apparently not.

    life and stuff
Work - well I was passed up for yet another manager position. this time I do have the bonus of saying that at least it was someone who just wanted a transfer and not someone else in the store getting promoted. Other then that raising gas prices are making it difficult to get there and back. Looking into a different job.

Wedding - ordered a custom corset for my wedding. wanted something off shelf (custom corset is 420.00) but it apparently doesn't exist. Mother in law to be is driving me nuts cause she had to change the date of my bridal shower from june 21st to june 14. Annoyed cause the reason she had to move it was that she couldn't get the place since she put off reserving it. I asked her to reserve a place a few months ago. My mom is having a bridal shower for me on the 31st of may. This should be annoying as hell but hey gifts that I have on a list yay. shoes and flowers are still the bane of my existence. (sorry guys at game shop. I wanted to invite you but I ran out of seats. There were an unfortunate amount of people I couldn't invite because moms are selfish.)

WoW - I got to do a kara run a few weeks ago and was told I did a pretty good job. My rogue still isn't 70 yet but she's getting close. wedding crap is keeping me from being able to play much.

Well that's pretty much it. I'm reading as fast as I can but even that's a bit slow.

    semi busy
Today was semi busy. I went to dress store cause my wedding dress was in. It's to big and they are sending it back and getting the next size down. The 18 doesn't fit but the lady doesn't think it'll fit cause she says it goes over my waist and belly but wont zip over my rib cage. She doesn't think it's possible to lose enough for it to go over my rib cage so it's just going to have to be altered. The under skirt was also to big and was switched out as well. It's nice when things are too big instead of to small. Oh and another way they rip you off when dress shopping. The bag that would correctly fit my dress will be an extra 10 dollars and they suggest you get two so that if a rip happens nothing happens to the dress. arg.

Weight loss. I didn't lose anymore this week but I didn't gain any back either. Sometimes the body just clings to the fat and wont let go for a few days. I'm confident next week the scale will show some weight loss.

W.O.W. I got to play some wow today. This made me very happy. I'm working on getting my priest some gear by buying it instead of instances which means doing daily quests.

Other wedding stuff. I think we're going to need the bigger room for our wedding. Sigh I wanted a small wedding darn it. I can't figure out flowers and think I hate flowers and florists. I also can't figure out my veil. I want a finger length single veil with white beads or pearls (fake is good) and shiny bits. Apparently I'm coming across the same problem of it not existing.

    update
Yesterday we went to visit grandma and get some wedding stuff.

Grandma is out of her head on painkillers. She doesn't remember she can't get up or at least conveniently forgets when she wants something. They put up baby gates and are thinking about adding a seat belt to her wheelchair. I think it's a good idea.

We got a guest sign in book and pen. We also picked up some candle holders that we like.

    Have fun.

    :) Good diet news
Well as most of you know I'm getting married. What do all people do when getting married. Lose weight.

So a few weeks ago bill and I decided we were going to eat healthier. We introduced salads into our diet as well as fruit and other healthy options. We cut out of our diet processed foods and snacks. We also divide all our stuff into serving sizes before we eat them so like our bag of candy is all zip locked into individual portions. This keeps us from having a snack and eating a bag of mini snickers. You know we've all done it. It also makes us aware of portions vs filling. You may get to have 2 mini snickers but you can have a lot more bell pepper. How hungry are you?

Well the good news is that I've lost 17 pounds. We don't know how much bill has lost since we don't have a scale and he doesn't see dr's. I however get to weigh myself every week when I go in for my allergy shots. 7 of those pounds were just this week. The first week of this diet change I was so sick because my body was adjusting to the diet changes but now my ibs has adapted and life is regular.

    I miss people and stuff.
Been busy planning the wedding. Sent out a bunch of invitations but not all so don't be worried if you haven't gotten yours. If you've seen any flower decorations you really love for a big long table send me a link or something I'm lost here.

I finally got some time to sit at the puter. Checked the moore boards. Check my e-mail (which is about all I've gotten to do at the puter lately. Checked some comics. And posting here.

They put a new thing in wow and I didn't even notice until one of my coworkers was like hey did you check out the new thing. So I play about 2 hrs a week now with everything going on.

Bills grandma moved into his parents house thursday. Now they have two grandma's living with them and I think we might inherit a dad living on our floor if they keep driving him batty.

Work is ok. I fight with one of the managers but only one now. Now I'm just not speaking with her. I only answer her questions with short (one word if possible) answers. She thinks asking someone how they are doing is talking to much. Course she is an ex nun. Don't ask I'm not sure how it works.

    Books of march
Holy Smokes by Katie MacAlister. Romance. Pages 341. Aisling Grey and Drake are trying to get married. I emphasize the trying part. Every time they finally make it to the isle something happens to someone to keep things from happening. From being summoned by the devil and arrested by the cops to bombs going off and being attacked by imps. If anything so bad as this happens to my wedding someone is going to be in big trouble.

Accidental Vampire by Lynsay Sands. Romance. Sands does it again and manages to make me laugh. I probably took all of a day to read this book. An entire small town goes around trying to protect and find a mate for their beloved vampire. Problem is she's been breaking vampire laws left and right. Or maybe not. Maybe just maybe if things go just right he can get her out of all this mess. If not he just might die without her.

The Accidental Werewolf by Dakota Cassidy. Probably romance but I got it off a table. Pages 326. Marty swears by the color wheel and lives by dreams of color. She's a door to door cosmetics sales person. With every lip gloss and eye shadow she gets closer to her dream of the sky blue convertible. Then she's bitten by a dog in an alley. Or was it a wolf? Suddenly a hot hot guy shows up in her apartment telling her he's very sorry but she's now a werewolf. Of course he's nuts. Way off the rocker. Oh how did that tail get there. Sh*t.

The Automatic Detective by A. Lee Martinez. Science Fiction. Pages 317. This book is a cross between old time science fiction novels and old time mystery novels. It was great to read and fun to imagine. Mack is a bot. He can think for himself, act for himself, doesn't need to eat, and has a hard time interacting with biological's. He does however have a shoft spot for the little girl next door who happens to be psychic. Even though it's completely irrational and against everything he was programed for he must save her when she's kidnapped by an unknown group.

Moon Fever - Anthology. Romance. Pages 374.

Tempting Fate by Susan Sizemore. This was good but not her best work. The heroin is a mortal with the habit of saving the world. The main man is a rock star vampire/vampire hunter. I can't tell you more without giving things away so lets just say it gets hot.

The Darkness Within by Maggie Shayne. Also not her best work but it was a fun twist to an otherwise normal life. The main gal is recently divorced. She doesn't seem to like herself very much and she doesn't seem to think anyone else should either. So she really can't understand why a guy almost half her age really has the hots for her.

Cobwebs over the Moon by Lori Handeland. Her dad is rich but he's self absorbed and has had a lot of kids over the years. So when she finds him dying she is really mad that he's been hiding some huge secrets. So she finds herself flying to Alaska in the middle of the night while running from people trying to murder her.

Crazy for the Cat by Caridad Pineiro. I was really impressed with this author. They're new to the scene as far as I know and I wouldn't mind finding them in some more anthologies. Main female invents new drugs. Her partner is recently dead and she decides to go to the rain forest to learn more about why. What she finds there makes the scientist in her drool and it doesn't hurt the girl either.

The Watcher by Jeanne Stein. Pages 304. Science Fiction. The is a fun one (although I seem to have skipped book two). The main character is a newly turned (see first book) female vampire. She's also a bounty hunter. I really enjoy seeing her take down bad guys (both paranormal and human) and kicking butt. She also has a major problem. The man she loves doesn't know she's a vampire and taking blood is very erotic. Can she leave him forever so she doesn't break his heart or will it even matter. Her boyfriend is deep under cover and no one has heard from him in a long time. Is he even alive to worry about?

The Outlaw Demon Wails by Kim Harrison. Pages 455. SciFi. So Halloween is coming up but Rachel might not get to celebrate the biggest holiday this side of the turn. See someone is summoning Al out from jail and letting him go to attack her and her friends or and her family. The holy ground is starting to get crowded and unless Rachel can do something about the demon someone will die. It was a good and surprising twist to the series.

Vampires are Forever by Lynsay Sands. Pages 361. Sands has but out another book that only took me one day to read and I smiled threw the entire thing. Now these can be a bit adult so if you're a kid don't read them. This time Thomas (the irresponsible kid of 200 yrs old) is sent to find his missing aunt and instead finds Inez. Since the book after this is already out I feel I can send you all to the store to check out this fun author. It's really a book in two parts as far as I'm concerned.

8 books in march. Well I guess I wasn't behind. I thought I was seriously behind in my reading because of the wedding. I still have a huge stack of books to be read though and a lot more coming in. This takes the total to 32 so I'm two short for the yr. I am trying to finish 8 a month. This way I can truly say I read 2 books a week.
    9:46 am
    books I read in feb.
The Hero Strikes Back by Moira J. Moore. Pages 308. Science Fiction. Second book in series. Lee and Taro find themselves in the spotlight once again when they public doesn't feel they are doing their jobs. They aren't fixing the weather. What regulars don't realize is it isn't there job to fix weather it's their job to fix natural disasters. They have no experience with weather. Plus there seems to be a bunch of religious fanatics running around killing low lords and ladies. Lee finds Taro in the middle of all the danger. He is after all a lord by blood even though he's renounced the title. Follow them as they blunder through social situations and moral difficulties making us laugh the entire time.

Dead End Dating by Kimberly Raye. Pages 334. Romance (loosely so). This is the first book and I found it amusing. A very a typical vampire names Lil decides to run an dating service for vampires humans and others. She doesn't wear black, she has blond highlights, and she cares about love. In fact she cares about true love. Her mom wont stop trying to fix her up with guys who completely annoy her. It seems that all born vampires are very concerned with fertility rates and orgasm quotients. Funny thing is for all the talk about sex they don't really ever do it as far as I can tell by reading the lit.

Kissing Sin by Keri Arthur. Pages 355. Science Fiction. The main character Riley is half vampire half werewolf, has a fraternal twin brother and keeps getting kidnapped. Now she's mixed up in an investigation that she never wanted to be part of in the first place. Plus on top of nearly being killed every day she is being forced to become a guardian when she never wanted to be anything more then a secretary. Watching her dreams of a white picket fence and kids slip through her fingers at least she has many men to make her feel better. I enjoyed this book a lot. It's the second book in the series the first is Full Moon Rising. Have fun

I'm the Vampires, That's Why by Michele Bardsley. 324 Pages. Romance. This was a funny book. It's the first but looks like it's going to be a series. The main character is a single mom raising two kids after her husband cheated on her with another women and then gets killed before the divorce goes through. Then she's attacked by an out of control creature that nearly kills her. Lucky it's handlers are vampires and they change her and take care of her kids for her while she's not able. Of course her true love is amongst the group and makes it his mission to win her over all while avoiding his enemies and trying not to let anyone get else get killed. Check it out.

Hell to Pay by Simon Green. 264 pages. Science Fiction. This is another Novel of the Nightside. it's a great series of books that I highly recommend for both scifi readers and mystery readers alike. The infamous John Taylor is hired to find a missing person. The granddaughter of the great Mr Griffin. He may be immortal but he just named his granddaughter his heir cutting off the rest of his immortal family. However someone is blocking John Taylor's talent for finding things. He has to go about doing actual detective work this time. Check it out.

Must Love Dragons by Stephanie Rowe. Romance. Pages 342. This book was very enjoyable. I can't wait to check out what else she might have out. Theresa is desperate for human contact. She's starved for affection. And she is quite literally starving to death. But how to get out and get what she needs. Of course contact the devil. He'll take care of it. Read her funny folly in this fun book.

She's No Faerie Princess by Christine Warren. Romance. Pages 333. All Fiona wanted was a vacation from the politics and harsh demands of her everyday life. The forbidden mortal realm seemed like the best place to get that vacation. Tobias only wanted to get everyone through the paranormal summit without the humans getting spooked. Unfortunately someone out there has a different idea completely. Suddenly they're both stuck dealing with demons and horrific deaths. I enjoyed this book. I'll be interested to see what else Christine Warren has out there.

So I read 7 books in feb. would have liked to do 8 but life happens.

    Wedding plans and lunar eclipse
I'm going to start with the lunar eclipse cause there is less to tell. There is a lunar eclipse currently going on. I watched the last sliver go and it was kind of cool. Since it is very cold out I came back inside. It turned this red copper color and I'm glad I put on my shoes and hobbled my way outside.

Wedding plans. Both my sister and I are trying to put together weddings. Bill and I are finally getting married in august. There are a lot of people that I always thought I'd probably invite that I can't and a lot of people I've never met that are on the list. I'm not really sure why that is but it is apparently life since we aren't paying for most of it. My mom is nuts and someone else's mom is a tad bit over baring but we're finding ways to make it happen. I've been trying on dress after dress and I think I'm finally going to buy one sunday. We have money down on the hall and we are purchasing our invites online. We were planning on making them to save money but found we wouldn't be saving money. We have our cake planned but we're having trouble getting a hold of the cake decorator. Small problem they put a lot of chemicals in wedding dresses and I'm rash covered. I can't wait until this is all over. I'm not even sure what I have to do to get done. We still need a dj. My mom is working on favors. Both moms are trying to get together to work on bridal showers. I need to find out how much tule I need to decorate the hall. We've picked out food. ahhhhh this is nuts. Why are weddings so crazy. BTW my sisters wedding is just as crazy and I'm in it too. Wake me from this nightmare when it's all over please.

    Books of january
Blood is the New Black by Valerie Stivers. Fiction. Pages 293. This is a good book. It is like vampires meet the devil wears Prada. Kate is going to be a Dr. She avoids the fashion industry like a plague since her mom disappeared years earlier. Now her Aunt talks her into doing a small internship with a fashion mag.

Swimming Without a Net by Mary Janice Davidson. Romance. Pages 271. Second book. This is a very fun book. I love Fred and her inability to get a long well with others. She's a fish out of water... Literary. I finished this book in two days and I can't wait for her to put another one out. I really hope that this series keeps going especially since this book really opens a lot of possibilities.

Heart of Stone by C.E. Murphy, Scifi, Pages 438. First book of the Negotiator series. In the past Murphy has written the shaman series. I really love those books and hope she writes more of them. This series is almost as good. There are five old races still alive and hiding from humanity. Margrit Knight is a young female lawyer. She's human but she is friends with some interesting people who aren't what they seem to the rest of humanity. Unfortunately because of who she meets and takes a liking too she ends up digging herself into quite a hold. Vampires, Dragons, and djinn oh my.

On The Prowl - Anothology. SciFi. I really liked all of these stories. I mean some were better then others but I would recommend all of them.

Exit Strategy by Kelley Armstrong. Fiction/Mystery. I enjoyed this book. Basically there are is this female hitman. She is an ex cop and basically just takes jobs on bad people. She uses the money to keep her lodge afloat. Unfortunately a unknown hitman is getting the FBI's attention and they're all at risk. Now Nadia's been hired to "clean things up". Plus she gets to meet all kinds of friends on the way. :)

Kitty and the Silver Bullet by Carrie Vaughn. Science Fiction. I love the Kitty series. This is like the fourth book maybe fifth. Kitty has to go back to Denver. Her mom is sick and she just can't stay away any longer. So she packs up Ben and herself and takes off. When she gets there Carl and Meg are still very very mad at her. There's a master Vampire who's nuts to get her. I can't wait to read the next one. I'm sad I finished this one so fast.

The Witch is Dead by Shirley Damsgaard. Mystery. Pages 292. This is the fifth book in the Ophelia and Abby Mysteries. I love Ophelia, Abby, and Tink. Tink is the adopted daughter of Ophelia. There are a lot of problems in their lives and are complecated even more by their great aunt visiting and expecting to have the same type of adventures that Ophelia regular trips over. Well she gets her way and life gets complicated. I can only imagine the stress finding dead bodies would cause.

    7 Books.

I got a phone call saying my drugs would be shipped out on the 28th. So not good. I need to take them on the 27th. So I called them. I started out with a not so helpful young women. She told me there wasn't anything she could do and said she was putting me on hold. Then she hung up on me. I called back. The first time I had issues getting a person second time no problem. Second time I told them I'd been hung up on and didn't even have to give them my name. I will have my scription by the 24th unless they call me. I really really hope they don't call me.

Other stuff. I've been reading a lot. Still playing wow but not as much. I have a lot of wii games to play and I love making mii's for the contests.

Work is slowing down. Not sure how I feel about that. I'm fighting pretty regularly with one of my co-workers and it looks like he's going to get into trouble for it but you know how that goes. I'll believe it when I see it.

well my right foot keeps swelling up but that's not slowing me down. I got a chance to see joe (a friend of bills from high school) today. I stopped by the game shop but it was a bit slow so I didn't get to see many people. I had lunch with bills dad. I had a dr apt in rochester hills. Hopefully the last of the dr apts I will have to drive over an hr to get too. I was a bit sad I didn't get to see carry or jen but hopefully I'll see them both soon.

Doing some grocery shopping now. Later.
